Smile has quite a few characters now, so here's a quick rundown in case you forget who anybody is. (Note that the images are purely iconic; the characters direct physical traits have never been described in the story, with the exception of Jessica, Lindsey and Hillary's hair color.)

Elizabeth Patton - The center of the Smile universe. A good kid, but if I knew her in real life I'd probably tell her to shut up once in awhile.

Liam Scott - I dunno. Some guy, I guess.

Jennifer Cantrell - Resident hot teacher, very lax at her job. Has a definite attraction to Liam. The higher ups are starting to take notice of her lackluster teaching and several students are conspiring to have her fired.

Steven Parker - Introverted, somewhat socially stunted, was a thorn in Elizabeth's side until she made an effort to get to know him a little. Has a surface attraction to Ms. Cantrell but an overwhelming crush on Elizabeth.

Evan - New kid in school, fairly impatient when dealing with people. Tired of the supposed "hypocrisy of beauty", he has decided to stop fighting it and to unabashedly pursue whoever he finds physical value in. Liam is the boy he's interested in, but he fabricates a relationship with Hillary to mask his homosexuality for the time being.

Hillary - A friend of Elizabeth's, though they've lost touch. Willingly a part of a fake relationship with Evan on the grounds that she finds him extremely attractive.

Jessica - Another past friend of Elizabeth's, disagrees severly with Ms. Cantrell's teaching methods and eventually hopes to get her fired.

Lindsey - The last of Elizabeth's old friends. Also involved in the anti-Cantrell movement, dedicated to the cause but lacking Jessica's distinct zeal.

Jeff - Friend of Liam's, kind of an asshole. He's on Liam's badminton team. Fancies himself an athlete despite playing only one sport. Reputed to have a younger sister who's somewhat of a slut.

Carl - Friend of Liam's. On the badminton team.

Lenny - Another friend of Liam's. Also on the badminton team.

Angela Patton - Elizabeth's mother. Successful author of speculative fiction.
